The Overwatch 2020 anniversary patch has been officially online since yesterday. The patch includes the event itself with all new skins, new arcade game modes to enjoy and various balance changes. Additionally, changes to the communications wheel have also been pushed back with this update, so be sure to play with them.Overwatch 2020 Anniversary Patch Is Now Live: New Skins, Communication Wheel, And Hero Balance Changes Detailed.
For starters, the balance changes included in the last experimental map made their way into the game. Most of the changes are those shown on the map, with a surprise nerve for Doomfist. The aerial seismic slam has been changed where the slight acceleration time has been eliminated.
This makes playing around this ability much easier for those on the enemy team, as increasing momentum previously made it difficult to hit.
Although the developers did not formulate the changes in the release notes as a nerve, in the game it should make the character slightly weaker. It also receives some miscellaneous changes as detailed in the release notes.
